Rob McQueary

Founder & President, ARMAC Construction, LLC

Rob McQueary, the Founder and President of ARMAC Construction, established the company during the Great Recession of 2008 and has since grown it into a thriving business. Starting his career at 16 in the family business, Rob worked his way up from a laborer to a superintendent, eventually overseeing over 100 employees and managing projects worth $15-20 million.

He has served as President of the Nevada Builder's Alliance for two consecutive terms and continues to contribute to the organization on the Past President Committee. Rob was appointed by the Mayor to serve on the Regional Transportation Commission and the City of Carson City Transportation Board, reflecting his deep commitment to the community. In addition to his leadership at ARMAC, Rob is a licensed contractor in Nevada, California, and Colorado.

Rob decides to be his own boss and opens ARMAC because he believes that he can own and operate a business better than his previous employers - He begins by obtaining his NV contractors license and some of his first jobs are painting curbs

2010

$150,000 Nevada contractor's license limit ARMAC obtains new office, shop and yard

2012

Hired an additional estimator and increased office staff

2014

ARMAC expands workload to include more Public Works projects

2016

ARMAC doubled in size and sales, and started working on larger projects

2019

Expanded business to Colorado and purchased second dump truck

2020

Expanded Yard and Office and Moved to a larger facility combining office, shop and yard

2021

Rob obtains California contractor's license and expands to Northern California

2022

Rob gets his license limit increase to $1.3 million expanded in size and took on much larger public works projects

2024

ARMAC expands workload to include more commercial projects

Rob McQueary

Aeryn McQueary

Director of Development and Marketing, Safety Manager, ARMAC Construction, LLC

Aeryn McQueary brings decades of experience in the Architecture, Planning, and Construction industries to her dual role as Director of Development and Marketing and Safety Manager at ARMAC Construction. Before joining ARMAC, she managed multi-million-dollar Capital Improvement Projects for the Architecture Division of the State of Nevada and held key positions with development engineering firms, the State of Colorado's Planning and Technical Division, and several local agencies in Southern California.

Her extensive background includes overseeing parks and open spaces for multiple California cities and actively participating in professional organizations such as the Nevada Builder's Alliance and the California Parks and Recreation Society. Aeryn’s academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the University of Arizona, studies in Architecture at the University of Copenhagen, and a Graduate Certificate in Landscape Architecture from UCLA. Master of Science in Environmental Policy and Management.

Alex McQueary

Superintendent

Born and raised in Carson City, NV, Alex McQueary has accumulated 15 years of experience in the construction industry. In 2019, he successfully expanded ARMAC Construction to Denver, Colorado, where he oversees operations and continues to drive growth. Alex's extensive background includes starting and managing new excavation businesses, running job sites as a foreman for three years, and operating heavy equipment for a decade.

His expertise also extends to asphalt patch paving, landscaping, concrete pouring and finishing, and installing essential utilities such as water, electricity conduits, sewer, and gas lines. Alex holds a Class A CDL, 5-hour trench safety certification, OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications, Competent Persons Training, and CPR/AED certification.

Dee Westmoreland

Estimator/Project Manager

With over four decades in the construction industry, Dee Westmoreland has spent the last three years at ARMAC, previously working under Rob McQueary at Marv McQueary Excavating for seven years. Dee's expertise lies in comprehensive project estimation, including materials, labor, and subcontractor costs. Managing successful projects he has secured brings him immense satisfaction.

His diverse background, from equipment operation to operations management, enriches his contributions. Dee appreciates working alongside ARMAC’s skilled and positive team, finding fulfillment in seeing completed projects he has estimated and managed.

Stacey Schell

Office Management, ARMAC Construction, LLC

Stacey Schell, originally from Tacoma, WA, brings a wealth of administrative expertise to ARMAC Construction, where she currently serves in office management.

Beginning her career as a receptionist in 1996 with MH Building Specialties, Stacey has progressively advanced her skills in accounts payable, accounts receivable, HR, and office administration across various roles, including positions at Martin Harris Construction, NVCCU, Champion Masonry, On Guard Fire Protection, and Olcese Construction and Waste Services. Her continuous learning and adaptation have made her an integral part of ARMAC's administrative team.

Tim Kniffen

Estimator/Project Manager

Tim Kniffen, who began his construction career at 16, transitioned through various roles in residential construction and sales over two decades. After graduating from Cal Poly and relocating to Carson City, he joined ARMAC Construction to engage more deeply with the local business community. Tim enjoys the diverse challenges of the excavation business, from estimating to problem-solving and interacting with people.

Living and working in Northern Nevada enhances his professional and personal life, aligning with his commitment to a strong community and family values.

Chris Shull

Purchaser/Project Manager/Trucking Logistics

Chris Shull has been with ARMAC since 2022, leveraging a lifelong career in sales to help the company remain competitive. He finds joy in the daily adventures his role brings and values the opportunity to learn something new about the business every day.

His deep friendship with owner Rob McQueary, dating back to elementary school, makes his work at ARMAC particularly meaningful, as he takes pride in contributing to the success of a company built from the ground up by a close friend.

Tommy Sampson

Heavy Diesel Mechanic, ARMAC Construction, LLC

Tommy Sampson, hailing from San Diego, CA, has been a dedicated heavy diesel mechanic with ARMAC Construction since 2005. He holds certifications from the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute and is an ASE Master Mechanic and Cummins engine specialist.

Tommy's passion for mechanics extends beyond work, as he enjoys racing, dirt bikes, and spending quality time with his daughter, alongside hobbies like working on Cadillac models from 1940 to 1970, hot rods, Harley-Davidsons, and participating in various sports and outdoor activities. His extensive experience ranges from light cars and trucks to heavy diesels, motorcycles, dirt bikes, boats, and more.
